Therapeutic Balance is a combination of exceptional protocols from both East and West, combined in a soft tissue, pain reduction treatment, using specialised massage skills. I use K.O.R.E. therapy to find the root cause of various health issues. Quite often it is not enough to treat just the symptoms and more investigation is needed to find the underlying cause. This unique system assesses the body holistically to find structural, organ, nutritional, emotional and energy imbalances. With a large tool box of techniques I can determine a picture of your strengths and weaknesses and work to correct these and bring about balance in all areas. This is not a one off treatment and for optimum results you will be expected to have a course of treatments. Incorporated within this system are:-
This is one of the greatest discoveries of Western bodywork, essential to any bodyworker concerned with treating pain. A trigger point is a tenderspot or pain or referred pain in a predictable pattern of reference, unique to each muscle.
Used in China for centuries to promote healing, this treatment involves the use of warmed glass suction jars on an oiled body as a therapeutic massage system. A powerful therapy which relieves the symptoms of musculo-skeletal problems and stagnation in the body. It enhances the circulatory system and encourages the release of toxins, which can lead to stress, tension and tightness in the body, which can present as problems later if not addressed.
This aims to restore mobility in the fascia, the tough connective tissue which holds us all together. Muscle tone and tension have a lot to do with how tight or loose the tissue is.
Works by bringing the organs within the abdominal area back into alignment, releasing pressure and strengthening the surrounding muscles and ligaments. This will improve nerve and lymph flow. The benefits of ensuring a healthy gut may ease IBS, constipation, low back pain, bloating, painful/irregular periods, frequent urination and migraines.
A gentle, light touch treatment. Each move or procedure may reset the body to heal itself by activating, through stimulating the stretch reflex, receptors within muscles, which have been known to change the pain/muscle spasm loop. Each Bowen move is done at the level of the superficial fascia and affects the relationship between the fascia and the nerve, muscle or tendon being mobilised. Following a Bowen session it is not uncommon to see adhesions loosen up, scar tissue soften and posture and mobility improve without harsh mobilisation or stretching.
